College Point Historic Resources
There are three properties landmarked in College Point: Poppenhusen Institute, the
Queens Library branch and the Schleicher mansion. Additionally, the College Point
Little League Building (also known as Fireman's Hall) is listed on the National Register
of Historic Places.
There are numerous historic buildings in College Point: barns, farmhouses, commercial
buildings and storefronts, industrial buildings and warehouses. Several potential historic
districts are extant, most notably Beech Court, a collection of early 20th century houses
around a central green, and the proposed College Point Historic District, with significant
architecture ranging from the 1860s to the 1930s.
